• Welcome to Boyd:

My name is Irene Rivera; I am the Resource II teacher for our kinder, first- and second-grade students at Boyd Elementary. I have been part of the Blackhawks Team since 2003 and plan to be here for many more!

I’m from Costa Rica; I have lived in Allen for the past 22 years with my husband, son, and two dogs. I like to walk in the mornings, read, and go camping.

I firmly believe in effective communication, positive reinforcement, and joyful education; my goal is to provide every student in my class with the tools and confidence necessary for their success. Feel free to contact me with questions or discuss progress goals or accommodations.
