WELCOME TO 6TH GRADE
Welcome to 6th grade! I will be your Science teacher this year! Mrs. Woodlee (ELA & World Cultures), Mrs. Heath (Math), and Mrs. Timmons (ELA & World Cultures) and I have been busy planning the upcoming year and we are all looking forward to meeting you!
I have been teaching Math and Science for the past 14 years, and this will be my second year in 6th grade and at Norton Elementary. I taught 5th grade Math and Science for 5 years in Frisco ISD, and 8 years in 4th Grade Math and Science in Arlington ISD.
I went to college at Texas Wesleyan University on a full ride volleyball scholarship and received my Bachelor’s of Science in Education. My husband, Richie, and I then became the Assistant Volleyball Coaches at Texas Wesleyan University, and ran a Club Volleyball tournament. We had a great time together building the program and taking the Lady Rams to the Elite 8! While coaching I also earned my Master’s of Education at Texas Wesleyan University.
Richie and I have been married for 16 years and have two awesome kids: Kylee and Tyler, and 1 dog, Little Bit. Kylee is going into the 5th grade and Tyler is heading into 2nd grade. We love to travel, play sports, relax, make slime ;) and just spend time together.
