• Hi! I am Stephanie Mooney, Assistant Principal at Curtis Middle School. This school year begins my 19th year in education and my 10th year as a campus administrator. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, I served as a middle school classroom teacher for nine years. I spent most of those years teaching 8th grade U.S. history, but have experience teaching 6th grade science and social studies, 7th grade Texas history, and 8th grade science. I earned my bachelor's degree in political science and psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler and my master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I have one daughter, Alexis, and two beautiful grandchildren, Maelia and Jarron.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I also volunteer with a student travel program, Ambassador Leaders (formerly People to People Student Ambassadors), and have led leadership summits at Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, UCLA, and Stanford. I am truly blessed to have the privilege of meeting and working with students from all over the world.

I am looking forward to another fantastic school year of working with our amazing Curtis staff, students and parents. Please reach out anytime and let me know how I can be of support.

    Go Curtis Cougars!
