Welcome to Ms. Ritchie's 4th Grade Class!  I'm so excited to be your teacher for Reading and Writing this year! I can't wait to learn all about you. Let me start out by telling you a little bit about me.

I was born and raised in Plano, Texas. I went to Plano West Senior High School and attended The University of Kansass for my undergraduate degree in Applied Behavioral Science: Early Childhood Education and Intervention. After returning back to Plano, I obtained my Texas Teaching Cerfitication. This will be my ninth year in the classroom and my third year at Boyd and in Allen ISD. Previously, I taught in Dallas ISD and after finishing my graduate degree at Southern Methodist University, I wanted to move closer to my family, who lives in Melissa, TX. 

I am so excited to live and work in Allen ISD. It has been a dream of mine since coming back to Texas to teach. I moved to Allen in 2019, but am fairly familiar with the area, growing up in the next city over. I have two dogs. Danica, a Labrador mix, who is nine years old and Junior, a Chihuahua, who is ten.  If I'm not at Boyd, I'm usually involved in my local church, reading a good book, hanging out with my friends, or spending quality time with my family. I adore time with my twelve-year-old niece, Lia, and nephew, Luca, who will be one in September!
