    Meet the Teacher  Miss Burke family

      My name is Kelly Farr and this will be my 4th year teaching Kindergarten at Cheatham Elementary! I cannot wait to learn more about you and your child, but until then, I’ll give you a little background about myself.

      I grew up in Plano, TX and graduated from the University of North Texas where I received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have always loved being around kids. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with friends and family and catching up on all of the latest Netflix shows. I love any kind of snacks and especially COFFEE! I have a wonderful husband, a beautiful baby girl and 2 sweet dogs. I am a little kid at heart with a goofy personality who will strive to make learning as fun as possible.

      As an educator, it is my goal to make students aware of how much they are loved, cared for, and how smart they truly are! I want to instill a love for learning in my students that they will carry with them for many years to come. It’s very important to me to develop individual relationships with my students, and rewarding to know that I just might be able to impact them for the rest of his or her life. I’ve wanted to become a teacher ever since the 3rd grade, because of the impact she had on me, and I hope to do the same for your child.

      I can’t wait to see how much we all grow this year! Together, I know, we will be nothing but successful! Looking forward to meeting you!
