My name is Dawn Schaffner and I love teaching kindergarten at Norton! I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire with a degree in Communication Disorders from the College of Education and earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Texas Woman's University. I have worked both as a classroom teacher and school administrator. 

I live in Allen with my husband, Russell, and our three children. Our daughter, Anna, is a graduate of Allen High School and is attending the University of North Texas. Our son, Larsen, is a senior at Allen High School and runs on both the cross country and track teams. Our youngest son, Everett, is a Norton Knight. 

I love teaching and am passionate about kindergarten because it is a milestone year when children develop foundational skills. I strive to create a nurturing and structured environment where students can aspire to their highest potential.
