Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Julia Georgas
Hello! I am so excited to be a part of the Maverick family! This is my 22nd year in Allen and my 10th year teaching AIM! I am passionate about making learning FUN, creative, relevant and interesting. AIM is the best teaching job ever! My husband, Bill, and I were high school sweethearts and we've been married for 38 years! We have two grown children, Kevin and Kaitlyn. Kevin is married to our awesome daughter-in-law, Caitlin. He is a pastor in North Carolina, and she is a social worker. My daughter, Kaitlyn, is married to the coolest son-in-law ever, Ian Osborne. They live in Nashville, where Kaitlyn is an occupational therapist and Ian is a music producer. We also have three adorable grandchildren! Agnes is seven, James is five and Asher is 5 months old. We don't get to see them nearly enough because two of them live in Durham, North Carolina and one of them is in Nashville.Thank goodness for FaceTime! Outside of school, I foster Great Pyrenees dogs, read as much as I can, bake, and do a LOT of crafting on an awesome laser! Creativity is a passion of mine and I hope to instill that and a love of learning in your children!
The Allen ISD “AIM” Gifted and Talented program is designed to be an enriched academic extension of the classroom where gifted students are provided with exciting opportunities to learn, discover, and make real world connections with other gifted and talented students.
