Hi! My Name is Mrs. Melissa M. Keifer! Fondly referred to as Mrs. K. by many of our students and staff. I am the primary Speech Language Pathologist at Marion Elementary and this is my second year at Marion, and my 9th year in Allen ISD. 

If we haven't met yet, here is a little more information about me! I live in McKinney with my husband, Weston, and our 6-year-old son (a current Marion Maverick), Rex; and our daughter, Margot. We also have a sweet dog named Lucy, who has been part of our family since 2008. Mr. K. and I moved to Texas from Boston, MA in 2012. I received my undergraduate and master’s degree from Emerson College in Boston, MA (GO RED SOX), and was born and raised in Massachusetts. Mr. K. is the Director of Production for the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, and was raised in Plano, TX.

My hope for all of our students at Marion, is that they all learn how much their voice matters. I firmly believe that relationships are the foundation of the success of our students, and I work hard to develop meaningful relationships with our students and families.
