I am super excited to be a part of the First Grade Team at Reed Elementary School!  

School year 2022-2023 will be my third year at Reed Elementary School.  The past two years I have been teaching second grade.  Before joining Reed ES, I taught for 18 years with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools teaching in Japan.  The DoDEA schools support military families stationed overseas.  I taught first and third grades (nine years total), was a reading specialist for two years, and an educational technologist (a technology coach for students and teachers) for seven years.  

My family loves to travel and explore new places.  My son, Eric, is a computer programmer, living in Florida with his wife, Teodora.  My daughter, Heather, is working on her masters degree in Public Health at Texas A&M. My husband and I enjoy exploring and playing board/card games with friends.

This school year is going to be full of wonderful adventures!
