HI! My name is Mercedes Artiago and I am thrilled to be your child’s third grade teacher! I became a Reed Owl in 2019 and I am excited to return for this exciting new school year!

I grew up in California and moved to Texas just 5 short years ago. I attended California State University Dominguez Hills where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

I have a beautiful blended family that includes my husband David and 4 great kids…Adrianna, Rebecca, Alexis, and David Jr. We also have our pup Rufus, who is a playful Boston Terrier.

In my free time I enjoy reading and crafting. I also love anything outdoors…hiking, biking…and of course, the beach. 

I am honored to have the privilege of teaching your child. It is a charge I take seriously, and honor respectfully.
