Hello! My name is Cindy Trantham, and I am the
Student Success Initiative teacher at Green
Elementary. At Green, SSI is a program which provides
focused, small group intervention and support for
students in reading and/or math. Our room is a fun,
learner-centered place where students are supported
and loved. Some students work with us all year, while
others attend for a shorter time. Mary Hartman and
Elizabeth Bogir, our SSI Instructional Assistants, and I
work closely with students and the classroom teachers
to encourage academic success for each child.
I began teaching 35 years ago, and this is
my fourteenth year to teach at Green. Before my role as the
SSI teacher, I taught Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grades.
I am the proud mom of three grown children who all attended Green! Ryan is a student at
Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Shelby is a first grade teacher at Kerr Elementary, and Ellery is a graduate student at Abilene Christian University.
My husband, Mike, and I have lived in Allen for nineteen years.
Mrs. Hartman, Ms. Bogir, and I are looking forward to helping students with new
learning adventures in reading and math!
