• Welcome To Resource!

I am so excited to join Norton this year as the Resource 1 teacher.  I taught in a special education classroom for children with Autism in Frisco ISD for 3 years.  I received both my Bachelors and Master's Degree at UNT in special education.  My background is in behavior analysis and before teaching, I provided therapy as well as trained therapists and parents in private clinics for over 10 years.  Once we started a family, I stayed home for 11 years to be with my children.

My husband Stu and I have 3 girls, and we have lived in Allen for 17 years. My daughter Katie is a Senior this year at Allen High School, Sophie is a Freshman at the Lowery Center, and Ruby is a 3rd grader here at Norton.  All of my girls started here at Norton since kinder, so this school is like our second home; therefore, I am beyond excited to be here teaching!!

In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family to Colorado or anywhere nice and cool to escape the heat here in the summer.  I enjoy hikes (when the weather is nice), spending time with our dog we rescued during quarantine, and when time allows I love putting together puzzles.

I look forward to teaching and supporting your child in a positive environment to help them achieve their maximum potential.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.  Email is preferred, but if you'd prefer to leave a voice mail, please understand I may not be able to get back with you until dismissal.  My email is julliet.mcdonald@allenisd.org and my number is 469-319-6528.
