My name is Baani Kalra. I am so excited about the opportunity to be your child’s reading, writing, and social studies teacher this year! I completed my Bachelor’s in Economics from University of California, San Diego. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Education from Texas Woman’s University. This will be my first year teaching at Story Elementary. However, I have ten years of experience teaching 4th and 5th grade.  

My husband, Sumit, and I live in Frisco with our 6 year old son, Neil, and our 3 year old son, Liam. Neil is entering first grade this year, and is excited about going back to school! Liam is starting preschool and beginning to spread his wings. Family time is so important to me and I am so grateful to have had the summer to love on my sweet boys! In addition to family time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, crafting, and reading.

It is my goal to make this year the best one yet! I love to read and share that passion with my students. I sincerely look forward to working together and I appreciate the partnership that we will create to support your child's education.
