Hi, otters! 

My name is Ms Stout and I am the music teacher/choir director here at Olson Elementary. I grew up in Oklahoma where I graduated with a Bachelor of Vocal Music Education from the University of Oklahoma. Boomer sooner! 

 I believe that music is integral to the development of students as learners and as humans. In the words of Gerald Ford, "Music education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them, a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement. The future of our nation depends on providing our children with a complete education that includes music." 

My hope as a music teacher is to equip students with the skills necessary to become effective and influential citizens by making music meaningful, relevant, applicable...and fun! In our classroom, you'll find us singing, dancing, playing, composing, performing, listening, reading, and learning. I can't wait to share our music with you!
