• Welcome to 2nd Grade!

     

    Hi there! My name is Ashlyn Kinsey and I am thrilled to be a second grade teacher at PES this year. This will be my second year of teaching and my first year at Preston Elementary School. Second grade is such a wonderful year and has a very special place in my heart! I can still remember so many wonderful memories from my time as a student in second grade. They are some of my fondest memories and I am hoping the same for your child. I am over the moon excited to have the opportunity to get to know your kiddo this year and share all of the things that make second grade the best year ever. It is going to be an amazing year!

    A little bit about me. I grew up with my parents and a younger brother in Round Rock, Texas, just 25 minutes north of Austin. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I recently got married to my sweet husband this past July and we just moved to the Allen area. My husband and I love exploring new restaurants in the area and shopping at all the amazing malls nearby. We have a slight addiction to Chick-Fil-A, Uncle Julio's, and Crumbl Cookies. We also love spending time with our friends and family.
