    Hello, Sixth Grade Families!

I am so excited about being part of the Cheatham family this year!

My name is Dorina Crutchfield, and I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where my parents attend the University of Michigan.  I grew up right down the road in Dallas and graduated from Skyline High School. After high school, I attended Texas A&M Kingsville and South Methodist University, where I graduated with my Masters of Science. One of my most passionate beliefs about education is the idea that we are all life-long learners. I believe that it is so important to instill a love of learning in people, children and adults alike.

This is my first year at Cheatham teaching sixth grade Science and World Cultures. Prior to that, I taught Pk- 6th grade music, art, physical education, and Spanish. Kinder and Second grade are where I spent most of my 19 years teaching. I have loved all of the subjects that I have taught, and I am so excited to bring that knowledge with me to help prepare your amazing sixth graders with the tools and confidence they need to succeed at the secondary level.

My family of five moved to Allen, TX, in March of 2021. My boys will be attending Cheatham as a third grader and fifth grader. My daughter will be a freshman this school year. When I’m not at work, I relax by spending time with my family and friends, gardening,  playing soccer , and traveling.

I can't wait to meet you all!
