Hi! I’m Mrs. Lauren MacGee and I am excited to be Olson’s new Librarian! My family and I are originally from Sydney, Australia, and we moved to Allen four years ago.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Education from Western Sydney University and my Master's degree in Teacher Librarianship from Charles Sturt University, both in Australia.

I have worked in elementary school and public libraries in Australia, and, as a librarian in Allen ISD. Growing up, I enjoyed visiting the Library and this inspired me to pursue my chosen career path.

I love STEAM / Makerspace (especially Lego), incorporating technology into the library and talking about books! I look forward to getting to know you all and hope to see you in the library soon!
