Ahoy Vikings!

 

My name is Adrianna Mahoney and I am the new Music Teacher here at Vaughan Elementary for the 2022-2023 School Year! Here's just a little bit about me as I look forward to getting to know all of you this year. Originally, I am from South Louisiana and back there lives my mom, dad, and younger brother. I graduated with my Bachelors of Music Education from Louisiana Tech University and am currently working on my Masters of Educational Leadership at University of Louisiana at Monroe Online. I am also getting married in October to my wonderful fiance, Nathan. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, working out, binge watching cooking shows, and teaching my voice and piano students.

 

This is my 4th Year in Music Education and I previously have taught K-8 General Music, and 6-12th Grade Choir, Musical Theatre, and Voice. My personal mission as a music educator is to create lifelong contributors to the arts, both on and off stage. As a result of students discovering the endless possibilities of my favorite creative outlet called music, my hope is for students to learn more about themselves, their talents, their artisitic and leadership potential, and so much more during their time in my class. Vaughan is the perfect place for me to return to the elementary setting as I am estastic to sail to new horizons with all the Vaughan Vikings this year!
