Hopkins family - June 2022

  • Hello Kerr Comets!! Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!

    I'm Julie Hopkins, and this is my first year living and teaching in Texas! We have recently moved from Northern Virginia (outside Washington, DC). I taught elementary Special Education in Fairfax County Public Schools and also was a lead teacher at a private preschool. I LOVE teaching and getting to know my students and families.

    My husband Paul has retired from the US Army, and his job with Raytheon brought us to Texas. Our son Nathan graduated from Arizona State University in May. He studied Construction Engineering & Management, and is working full-time in that field out in Phoenix. Our daughter Kathryn is a sophomore at Baylor University. She is a business major (accounting) and is also following the Pre-Physicians Assistant track. We have a dog named Brodie. He's tons of fun and super sweet!

    This year I will be sending out regular updates with a class newsletter, as well as sending home daily communication logs. Please be sure to look at the communication notebook each day.
