I would like to welcome everyone to the 2019 - 2020 school year. After a restful summer I am ready to rejoin my Kerr Family and begin another exciting adventure with our students and parents.
I am beginning my sixteenth year with AISD and my fourteenth year at Kerr Elementary. I have accumulated many years in elementary education. This will be my tenth year as the Kerr Counselor. As Mr. Kerr always tells us that we should "have fun at school," I am still having fun and loving the time that I spend with our students.
My favorite things that I enjoy when I am not at school are fitness, shopping, reading, and spending time with friends. I live with a little bundle of fluff that is white and chocolate and is a whopping eight pounds. Her name is Molly. I never thought that I would be absolutely crazy about a dog, but I am! She likes to be held and cuddled and makes me feel special and laugh a lot.
I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and attended schools there. I moved to this area of the United States in 1980 and decided that I really liked this part of our country. As my daughter always liked to repeat: "I wasn't born a Texan, but I got here as fast as I could." I love Allen, Texas. This past summer I stayed at home. I did have a good friend as a house guest and visited old friends in Oklahoma for a few days. I enjoyed my time at home doing extra little projects, working out, reading, and resting.
I am rested and ready for another great year in the lovely, brand new Kerr Elementary!
