    Fast Track e-mail News Service – An electronic newsletter for parents and patrons of Allen ISD. The latest edition is here.

    Community Bulletin Board – “Allen on the Go” publicizes activities for local non-profit groups including programs, fundraisers and classes on an Allen ISD-hosted Web page rather than having to print hundreds of fliers. 

    Facebook - Allen ISD maintains an active Facebook page where news and announcements are posted almost immediately. Just search Allen Independent School District and hit "Like".
     
    Cable News - District announcements and Allen High School Communication Department programs are broadcast on Time Warner Cable Channel 98 in Allen.  KGLE 3 Teen News, three-time winner of the CNN/NSPA Broadcast Pacemaker award, airs weekdays at 11 a.m.  District announcements include each week's lunch menus for elementary schools.  Allen ISD staff, PTA's and student organizations may submit announcements by sending pertinent information (who, what, when, where, why) to publicinfo@allenisd.org or by calling 972-727-0510.  Please submit at least one week before the date of the event. Channel 98 announcements are updated every Monday and Friday. 

    Weather Closings - Allen ISD campuses are occasionally closed due to bad weather such as snow and ice. Other circumstances such as power outages or other utility problems may also cause a single campus or the entire school district to close.  Instead of closing, there are also times when campuses or the school district will delay the start of school for safety reasons.  The following information should help parents understand what procedures Allen ISD uses to close or delay the start of school.  For additional information, click here.


    Patron Involvement - The Norton PTA provides volunteers in the library, classrooms, workroom, field trips and special events. They also collect funds for student-oriented programs.
