Dr. Julie DeLeon

Welcome to Norton!  My name is Julie DeLeon, and I am thrilled to continue to serve as principal of Frances E. Norton Elementary for another year. I can tell you that this campus is an incredibly special place where small victories happen every day and where we strive to help our students to do and accomplish “more” than they think they can!

I began my time in Allen ISD as a student teacher in 1994.  After graduating from the University of North Texas, I spent the next 13 years as a classroom teacher of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. Following the completion of my graduate program at Dallas Baptist University, I served for two years as an Instructional Specialist in Mathematics in AISD's Learner Services Department and then began my career in campus administration as the assistant principal at Frances E. Norton in 2009.

In 2012 I accepted the position of principal.  The supportive families, hard-working and loving staff members, and fabulous students make my position one of absolute joy and laughter!

Each day as I walk the halls of Norton I see student creations on the
walls, deep conversations being held in classrooms, technology being utilized in new and innovative ways, and encouraging words being shared by both students and staff. Sharing in the accomplishments of students and keeping up with their lives is a such a blessing!

I am just an email or a phone call away if you have a question or a concern or just want to share something terrific that is happening on our campus!
