Hello! 

My name is Karen Szeryk and I am lucky enough to be the Gifted & Talented Specialist at Norton Elementary. I have lived in the Norton neighborhood for almost 22 years and have taught GT at Norton for 12 years! I grew in Canada and moved to Texas with my husband 3 days after we were married. We have 2 daughters (Maddie, who graduated from Texas A&M and is currenty "living the dream" as a professional golfer on the LPGA and Ellie, who is a student-golf athlete at SMU). I am a life long learner and love to provide as many creative opportunities for my students each and every day! What I love most about my job as a GT educator is that I get to teach my students from kinder all the way until they graduate in 6th grade, becoming a tight knit family along the way.
