Welcome to Fifth Grade! I ♥ SCIENCE.  Science RoCkS!!! 

       This year we'll be exploring the connections between everything on our amazing planet, classifying things based on physical properties, and understanding how Earth relates to other bodies in space.  We have an awesome year planned for you which will encourage you to understand our world, appreciate those scientists who came before us, and exercise your ability to THINK!  

       Let me tell you a little about me. This is my 13th year teaching at Norton, and I ♥ this school!  My family and I live in Plano.  My husband, Shane, and I have been married 27 years, and we have four children (Justin, Morgan, Payton, & Logan) who range in ages from 20-27.  We also have a cat named Armando and 2 Corgis named Zoey & Maddoe. I love to do missions. I have been to Mexico, Africa, and Haiti to work with orphans with Mrs.Kopeman, who is our Norton librarian.  

       In my classroom, I strive to provide an instructional program designed for the individual needs, interests, and abilities of each student.  This learning environment will promote the development of independent and responsible students.  Each day is always a new and exciting adventure.  I love to challenge my students to reach their fullest potential while making learning fun.
