Our goal in the SSI classroom is to provide our All-Stars with a stimulating learning environment that encourages students and builds their confidence in all their academic areas.  We support our All-Star teachers in helping each student achieve his or her full potential.

Here in the Anderson SSI classroom we ensure that students identified to receive SSI get the extra instruction and support they need. Students are identified to receive SSI support through assessment scores and teacher recommendation. The SSI teacher, Kristin Rottman,  works closely with classroom teachers to coordinate student instruction to meet the individual needs of each student.  The children are constantly monitored and the level of support adjusted as necessary

The SSI class provides the students with support in a focused, small group setting. Our interventions are guided by the Allen ISD and the State of Texas Student Success Initiative.

Kristin Rottman  has been in the field of education for 12 years. She has been a regular classroom teacher for 12 years. 

We are fortunate to have in the SSI classroom two instructional assistants that support the students.  These assistants provided small group instruction, inclusion support, and assist the regular classroom teachers in many other areas.
