STAAR EOC Algebra 1 Exam &
STAAR EOC Biology Exam
Lowery Freshman Center
Tuesday, May 2nd, B-Day: Algebra 1
Wednesday, May 3rd, A-Day: Biology

The Algebra 1 and Biology End-Of-Course (EOC) exams are
graduation requirements for all students enrolled in those courses.

All students should report to Lowery at 8:15 am on May 2nd and May 3rd and go directly to their designated testing classrooms.

Testing classroom assignments will be posted in the Lowery hallways by April 26th.

Students should bring their student ID, a book to read, several pencils, and a sack lunch to their testing classrooms. This is a normal school day; therefore, all dress code and student ID processes will be in place. Students are encouraged to leave all electronic devices (including cell phones, smart watches and FitBits) at home on May 2nd and May 3rd, as their use is prohibited in the building during the Algebra I and Biology EOCs. Students are also encouraged to bring a light jacket (pillows and blankets should remain home) in the event that the testing room gets cool.

Students who normally have 1st period at AHS should report to Lowery, not AHS, on May 2nd and 3rd.

The Algebra 1 and Biology EOCs are four-hour timed tests. As mentioned above, the EOCs are required of all Lowery students enrolled in Algebra 1 and Biology. Due to the length of these tests, only 7th and 8th period classes will meet on May 2nd, and only 4th and 8th period classes will meet on May 3rd. Students with classes at AHS for 8th period will attend those classes at AHS.

Students enrolled in math classes other than Algebra 1 will not take the Algebra 1 EOC on May 2nd. Instead, these students will spend the morning working on advanced math enrichment activities. We encourage students have a full night’s sleep and a nutritious breakfast before coming to school on a test day.

No outside food/fast food can be brought in for students on May 2nd or 3rd

Please do not take your son or daughter out of school for appointments on May 2nd or 3rd

Please notify your son or daughter’s house office if he or she will be absent on May 2nd or 3rd
