A Message from Superintendent Robin Bullock
    June 23, 2020

    Dear Allen ISD Parents,

I wanted to send you a brief update on planning for the 2020-2021 school year. Later this afternoon, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Commissioner will host a conference call with Texas school superintendents to discuss safety measures, potential restrictions, and school funding for the upcoming school year.

Following this long-awaited guidance, AISD will be able to roll out plans for the fall semester. We will share this information with you during the week of June 29. The communication will contain information on health and safety measures and protocols. We also plan to share more information regarding school-day procedures such as transportation, lunch, and extracurricular activities.

I can share with you that AISD plans to offer families two options for the upcoming school year. Parents will be asked to choose between traditional face-to-face classroom learning or fully remote at-home learning. The remote option will include live teacher-led instruction and offline learning activities.

We know that our families have varying levels of comfort in sending their children back to school this fall, and we want to allow families to choose their personal preferences. Whichever option you choose, please know that our educators are excited to work with your children and support them in their learning journey.

I appreciate all of the parents who have shared their suggestions and concerns with me over the past month. Due to the number of messages coming in, please know that I may not be able to respond to each message, but be assured that I am reading everything that comes to my inbox.

I look forward to sharing more information with you next week.

    Sincerely,

    Robin Bullock
    Superintendent of Schools

  • Information For Parents

Time Closed - District facilities and campuses are closed to visitors over the summer. Administrators are planning for reopening campuses in the fall.

Food Distribution - Students may receive multiple meals by picking up three days each week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Rountree Elementary School, 800 E. Main St., or Boyd Elementary School, 800 Jupiter Road. This service has been extended through June 29.

Daily pickup time is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parents may drive through the front car loop to pick up meals from a staff member for their children. The service is available to all Allen ISD students. The student must be in the car with the parent to pick up the meal. More information is available at this link.

Upcoming Dates - Closely monitor the district website for updates on the campus/district calendars for the most up-to-date information regarding events taking place at campuses and in the district.

Sanitizing - Facilities and buses have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. These efforts will continue through the summer where needed.
