Allen ISD OKs Admissions Partnership with Tarleton State
The Allen ISD Board of Trustees approved a formal partnership with Tarleton State University on November 18, 2020, to provide more options to graduating students in the college selection process.
This unique partnership will grant automatic admission to Tarleton State for the top 50 percent of the graduating class at Allen High School. It will also waive ACT/SAT requirements and application fees for those students. The partnership will go into effect for the Class of 2021.
Additionally, Tarleton State will guarantee varying levels of scholarships to any AHS student who graduates in the top 25 percent and enrolls as a freshman in the Fall of 2021. The scholarship amount will vary based on final class rank and SAT/ACT scores.
“We are thrilled about our new partnership with Tarleton State University, which offers even more opportunities for our Allen ISD graduates,” said Allen ISD Superintendent Robin Bullock. “By providing Allen High School students a clear path to higher education, we are aligning with our district goal of preparing our students to become future-ready for success in college and career.”
