Allen ISD Ranked Among Top-10 Best School Districts in Texas

Allen Independent School District has been ranked as the eighth-best school district in Texas, according to the Niche.com 2020 Best Schools Ranking. The website, which analyzes data from the U.S. Department of Education and survey responses from families, also listed Allen ISD as the best place to teach in Collin County. 


“Texas is filled with high-performing school districts, so to be named among the top ten in the state is something to be proud of,” Superintendent Dr. Scott Niven said. “With that being said, Allen ISD will always strive to reach for greater heights. There is always room to improve, and we look forward to that challenge.”


In a ranking of individual campuses, Allen High School was named the 36th best high school for preparing students for college in a list that included academies and select-enrollment magnet schools.


All three middle schools in Allen ISD earned a spot on the list of the best middle schools in Texas. Curtis earned #27, Ereckson was named #28, and Ford earned #34.


In Niche’s list of the best public elementary schools in Texas, 13 Allen ISD elementary schools were named in the Top 100.
