Dr. Scott Niven Announces Retirement from Superintendency

Dr. Scott Niven, Superintendent of Schools for the Allen Independent School District, has announced his retirement from the superintendency to pursue other professional opportunities. 

The Board of Trustees expressed its sincere appreciation to Dr. Niven for his efforts while serving as Superintendent of the school district and its students, parents and administrators, and for the many achievements and accomplishments of the entire District team during Dr. Niven’s tenure as Superintendent. The Board also extended its best wishes to Dr. Niven in his future endeavors.

Dr. Niven thanked the present and past Board of Trustees for providing him with the opportunity to serve in the Allen Independent School District.  Dr. Niven also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the staff and community for their support of the District’s programs and services during his term as Superintendent.

The Board and Dr. Niven acknowledge and recognize the teachers, principals, administrators, staff, students, parents and patrons who have contributed to the District’s success through their hard work and enthusiastic support. 

The Board has named Robin Bullock as the acting Superintendent and will soon begin its search for a new superintendent.

Board President Amy Gnadt thanked the community for their continued dedication to Allen students and support of the school district.
