Chandler Elementary is participating in a school-wide service project today with Kids Against Hunger, an assembly line-style meal packaging event for families experiencing hunger around the world.
The Chandler Student Council worked hard during the last two years to raise $6,000 to be ready to participate in this heart-warming day of service. All Chandler students rotate through the cafeteria to keep the assembly line moving throughout the day.
Chandler has been hosting this service project for several years, except for the past two years because of COVID restrictions. Students and staff look forward to serving others and preparing meals for families on the Mosquito Coast of Honduras. This year, meals are also being shipped to refugee families affected by the war in Ukraine.
