Brent Benningfield Named Assistant Superintendent of Operations
Brent Benningfield was named Allen ISD’s Assistant Superintendent of Operations at the March 27 Board of Trustees meeting.
Brent is in his 25th year of education and comes to Allen from Frisco ISD. He has served in a variety of roles in Frisco since 2000, most recently as the Executive Director of Operations who oversees transportation, food service, security, emergency management, health services, custodial services, and school services. His previous duties at Frisco included Student Services Director, Assistant Principal at Heritage High School, and a teacher and coach at the high school and middle school levels. He also previously taught at Aldine ISD.
In his new role at Allen, Brent will provide leadership to all departments in the operations team, including Facilities and Maintenance, Safe and Secure Schools, Student Nutrition, and Transportation. He will also provide oversight on bond programs in the District, including construction projects and campus renovations.
"Brent is an innovative leader and an experienced school administrator, and I am excited to welcome him to the Allen ISD team," said Superintendent Dr. Robin Bullock. "The daily operations of our school district are critical. These departments touch nearly every facet of the school day, including maintaining campus facilities, serving meals to students, running bus and shuttle routes, and providing safe learning environments at each campus. I look forward to working alongside Brent as he provides guidance and support in each of these integral areas.”
Brent earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M and his master’s degree from Concordia University. He holds a FEMA. Emergency Management Institute certificate and a Standard Response Protocol Emergency certification for administrators. He will join Allen ISD in April.
