Allen HS Students Celebrated During Boeing STEM Signing Day

The Boeing Company honored 10 Allen ISD students on May 15 during the Boeing North Texas STEM Signing Day ceremony. Just like college signing days for athletes, 20 high school seniors (10 each from Allen ISD and Plano ISD) signed letters of intent to pursue two or four-year degrees in a science, technology, engineering, or math field. Kim McLaughlin, Allen ISD Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership, joined Boeing executives and the seniors’ families and friends for this special ceremony to celebrate the next generation of STEM innovators.

The Allen High School seniors honored at the Boeing North Texas STEM Signing Day were:

  • Sophia Amundson - University of Texas at Dallas: Physics
  • Matthew Caldarola  Texas A&M University: Computer Engineering
  • Alex Caldwell - Wichita State University: Cybersecurity
  • Payton Cooper - University of Texas at Austin: Mechanical Engineering
  • Michaela Fuller - Tuskegee University: Aerospace Engineering
  • Jimmy Liang - University of Texas at Austin: Electrical & Computer Engineering
  • Fatimah Misbahuddin - University of Toronto: Neuroscience
  • Jean-Martin Vaneskahian - University of Texas at Dallas: Computer Science
  • Dillon Watson - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University: Aviation Maintenance Science
