On Thursday, August 26, Allen ISD is introducing a new text messaging service to send emergency information to families in addition to the currently available phone calls and emails. These messages will be sent only during emergency situations or campus closings due to weather or other conditions.
To protect against unsolicited text messages, parents and guardians may receive a text message asking to “opt-in” to the service. The message will come from a 'short code,’ 67587. You can opt-in at any time by texting "YES" to 67587.
To opt-out of all text messages from Allen ISD, reply with "STOP" to the message. Users who opt-in, but later decide to opt-out, may simply send "STOP" to 67587.
This additional communication service will keep parents, students, and staff better informed during emergency and weather-related events. Questions about the service may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
