Allen ISD recently welcomed the 2025–2026 cohort of its Leadership Academy for the first meeting of the year, kicking off a seven-month series designed to give community members an in-depth look at district operations and leadership.
The first session took place at the Allen ISD Administration Building where Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robin Bullock and Chief Communications Officer David Hicks led a comprehensive overview of the district.
Participants heard from Foundation For Allen Schools Director Regina Taylor before traveling to Boyd Elementary School where they were welcomed by Principal Dr. Julie DeLeon who provided a school overview and guided the group through classroom rotations.
The Leadership Academy is structured around full-day sessions held monthly. Each meeting offers presentations from district administrators, visits to campuses, and direct engagement with principals, School Board members, and students. Participants will also complete a volunteer project in support of the district.
Throughout the program, participants will visit campuses across each grade-band level, including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school. The experience is designed to help the community better understand what it takes to serve over 21,000 students and nearly 3,000 employees.
Graduates will be recognized at a future Board of Trustees meeting and added to a district resource list for potential involvement in strategic planning, focus groups, and improvement teams.
