The Allen ISD Board of Trustees recently recognized students at their December board meeting. Honorees included student artists whose work will be featured on holiday cards for local first responders, and student leaders from a district-wide day of service.

Special thanks to the Boyd Elementary students who led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
AHS Student Wins Allen Fire Department Holiday Card Contest
The Board recognized Allen High School senior Sophia Li for winning the Allen Fire Departmentās holiday card design contest. Sophiaās artwork will be printed on cards mailed to more than 2,000 Allen community members who completed the Fire Departmentās CPR and Stop the Bleed classes. Fire Chief Jonathan Boyd joined the presentation to celebrate this honor.

Boyd Elementary Students Honored in Allen Police Department Art Contest
The Board recognized five students from Boyd Elementary who participated in the Allen Police Departmentās holiday card contest. Four students were named finalists, and one studentās design was selected as the official card artwork. Allen Police Chief Steve Dye joined in recognizing these talented young artists:

Eagle Give Day Student Leaders Support the Community
The Board recognized Allen ISD students who led service-learning projects as part of the districtās annual Eagle Give Day. Held on the Friday before Thanksgiving Break, this tradition encourages students across multiple campuses to support local charities and organizations. Leaders from Allen High School, the Lowery Freshman Center, and the STEAM Center were honored at the meeting:
