Educational Grant Awards
The Foundation For Allen Schools will fund 124 grants to Allen ISD teachers and staff for the 2018-19 school year. These grants – which impact every campus and include all subject categories – total $120,000. This is the largest amount funded for one year by the Foundation. The Educational Grant program provides funding for innovative, creative classroom and campus programs and projects. Nearly 200 Allen ISD teachers will be involved in this year’s program and the grants should impact more than 16,000 students.
To date, the Foundation has funded $1,109,200 in educational grants for Allen classrooms. These grants are the direct result of donations from individuals and families, Allen ISD staff and alumni, business sponsorships, corporate partnerships and proceeds from the Allen Eagle Run. Visit our 2018-2019 Educational Grant Awards page to see a complete list of grants awarded.

Scholarship Spotlight - Kyle Murray Memorial
Kyle Murray was a 3rd grader at Anderson Elementary in Allen ISD who loved going to school, loved art and animals, and was beloved by his family, friends, teachers and community. In 2014 Kyle passed away after a very brave battle with cancer. The Murray family worked with the Foundation For Allen Schools, The Howard Hughes Corporation, and The Ruth Cheatham Foundation to award memorial donations as scholarships to Allen High School seniors, beginning with the Class of 2015.
The Howard Hughes Corporation is a leading real estate developer that owns, manages and develops commercial, residential and mixed-use real estate throughout the country.
The Ruth Cheatham Foundation is a non-profit that works to support cancer patients and their families through education and financial aid. For more information about the Ruth Cheatham Foundation, go to www.ruthcheathamfoundation.org
