Weather-related conditions move AHSvs. Prosper football game to Friday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.

Due to expected severe weather Friday evening and continuing into Saturday, the Allen Eagles Varsity Football game will now begin earlier on Friday, October 24, at 1 p.m. The game against Prosper High School will be held at Children’s Health Stadium, 2000 Stadium Drive, Prosper, Texas, 75078. Gates will open at Noon.

We understand this schedule change may affect families, students, and staff. The decision was made to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and fans. Allen ISD attempted to find multiple rescheduled dates and times. Prosper Richland High School will play at Prosper’s stadium on Thursday evening, and Prosper ISD was unable to adjust the kickoff time to accommodate a double header and host both games that night.

Allen ISD offered to host either the Allen vs. Prosper game or the Richland game at Eagle Stadium on Thursday evening, but the offer was not accepted by Prosper ISD. Saturday was not an option due to the forecasted storms and the Allen band competition scheduled that day.

Families with students participating in the game should watch for updates from their student’s coach or director regarding revised travel details. Like other UIL participation events during the school day, students involved in game-day activities (players, trainers, band members, etc.) will not be marked absent. Because many families are expected to attend the game, any Allen ISD student checked out by a parent or guardian after 11 a.m. on Friday to attend the game will receive an excused absence.

Thank you for your flexibility and support. We look forward to seeing the community come together to cheer on the Allen Eagles in this important district matchup. Go Eagles!
