Allen ISD recently held a Heart at Work employee appreciation event at Chicken N Pickle in Allen, where employees competed in a spirited pickleball tournament. The event drew both experienced league players and first-time participants, creating an atmosphere of fun, learning, and camaraderie.
The tournament featured exciting match play, with Eagle Honor Roll, represented by Jimmy Huang and Al Morales, taking first place. Hughes Serve, with Cale and Stephanie Hughes, finished second, while Paddle Penguins, played by Vicky Bayer and Cindy Waechter, rounded out the top three.
The event was filled with energy and enthusiasm as participants not only enjoyed competition but also built new friendships and lasting memories. Many employees shared their excitement for the next pickleball tournament planned for the spring.
