Allen ISD campuses and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Kids Club will also be canceled.
The decision to cancel school was made due to the snow/ice accumulation on local roads that is expected to remain through Tuesday morning and early afternoon. The District will continue to prioritize the safety of our students, families, and staff, including our student drivers and students who walk to and from school.
Based on weather forecasts, temperatures will rise above freezing on Tuesday afternoon and help melt the ice. The District fully expects classes to be held as scheduled on Wednesday, January 28th. The District will continue to consult with local emergency personnel, and additional communication will be shared with families and staff on Tuesday.
