Students from Allen High School recently moved from planning to hands-on work as they began installing their Easter Bunny photo booth design at Watters Creek.
Interior Design and Graphic Design students in the Career and Technical Education program started transforming the shopping center space into a spring-themed photo experience where families will be able to take pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Earlier this semester, students presented their design concept to Watters Creek representatives during a formal pitch meeting. The presentation included a walkthrough simulation and detailed plans for the space. Their concept featured a dedicated prep area, the main photo booth where guests will meet the Easter Bunny, and a decorative flower wall that visitors will pass as they exit.
After receiving approval for their concept, students began the process of bringing their ideas to life.
During the week leading up to spring break, the students started installing set elements inside the Watters Creek space. Working together on site, they began assembling structures, arranging design elements, and preparing the environment that will soon host families visiting the Easter Bunny.
The Interior Design II students involved in the project are Andrea Botello, Isabella Curtis, Trinity Ellison, Keyla Fuentes Graham, Sophia Payani, Grace Schmitz, and Samuel Wong, with help from Graphic Design students Kylia Kang and Yousif Shihab.
“Overall, I feel it went smoothly. There are things we have to fix, things we have to do, but we have them listed out,” Trinity said. “And we're very grateful for what we are doing with these people and their business. It’s very nice to do some real-world work.”
Earlier in the process, student presenter Trinity Ellison reflected on the opportunity to work with a real client.
The installation marks the next phase of the project as students continue preparing the space for families visiting the Easter Bunny at Watters Creek.
