TEA Releases 2026 Accountability Ratings
On August 14th, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) publicly released the 2026 Accountability Ratings for all Texas school districts and campuses. These ratings are based on student performance data from the 2025-2026 school year, including STAAR/EOC results, graduation rates, and college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) outcomes.
Ratings in Summary
Under the state’s A–F Accountability Ratings System, three domains are evaluated: Student Achievement, School Progress, and Closing the Gaps.
At the campus level, 2026 ratings within Allen ISD include:
14 campuses received an A rating.
7 elementary campuses received a B rating.
1 elementary campus received a C rating.
At the district level, Allen ISD received an Overall Rating of A in 2026. In addition to the letter grades for each campus and the district, the accountability ratings system awards Distinction Designations to campuses based on performance in comparison to a group of 40 very similar campuses across Texas. The designations reflect outstanding performance in specific areas such as postsecondary readiness, academic growth, or student achievement in Reading Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies. Allen ISD was awarded a total of 38 Distinction Designations across 15 campuses in 2026.

Multiple Measures of Success
Allen ISD’s mission is to cultivate innovation in education that empowers every learner to realize full potential. While the state accountability system provides one lens for evaluating schools, it is not the only one. Parents and the community are encouraged to consider the many strengths of Allen ISD that go beyond standardized test scores, including:

Opportunities to build future-ready skills
Broad extracurricular offerings
Supportive teachers and leaders
Strong family and community partnerships
Allen ISD uses a variety of tools to assess student learning over time, including MAP, mClass, PSAT, SAT, AP exams, and classroom assessments. These help guide instruction and provide a more complete picture of student growth.
