Allen ISD Board of Trustees Recognitions
The Allen ISD Board of Trustees recently recognized students, educators, district partners, and PTA leaders at their board meeting held on September 22. Honorees included a state- and nationally-ranked student team, a state award-winning teacher, a district foundation celebrating $150,000 in classroom grants, and PTA groups recognized for their advocacy and school partnerships.
Allen Eagles Shooting Team Wins State Title and Places 2nd Nationally
The board recognized the Allen Eagles Competitive Shooting Team for its outstanding success at both the state and national levels this past summer.
The team competed in the 2025 Scholastic Clay Target Program National Championship in Ohio, facing 331 teams and over 3,000 athletes from across the country. The Allen Eagles took 2nd place in the nation in the high school division and claimed 1st place in Sporting Clays, 3rd in Skeet, and multiple additional placements in JV divisions.

Jason Anderson Named Texas Professional Educator of the Year
The board recognized Jason Anderson for being named the Professional Educator of the Year by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department for the 2024-2025 school year. Mr. Anderson was honored for his work in outdoor education, including certifying more than 1,000 students in Hunter Education. He also serves as the Texas State Advisor for the Scholastic Clay Target Program and oversees Allen ISDâs archery, bass fishing, and competitive shooting teams.
Foundation For Allen Schools Awards $150,000 in Grants
The board recognized the Foundation For Allen Schools for awarding more than $150,000 in educational grants for the 2025-2026 school year. The Foundation will fund 82 grants totaling $150,233, impacting students from Pre-K through 12th grade at every Allen campus.

The Foundationâs total grant investment in Allen ISD has now reached $2.2 million.
PTA Groups Earn State and National Honors
The board recognized several outstanding PTA groups across Allen ISD for their leadership, wellness initiatives, and national recognition.
The Allen ISD Council of PTAs earned the Texas PTA Outstanding Council Award at the Platinum level for the 2024-2025 school year. The Council was honored for parent engagement, advocacy, leadership development, and community support.
