Sixty-seven Allen ISD choir students, from Allen High School and Lowery Freshman Center, have earned placement in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 25 All-Region Choirs, following auditions held earlier this semester.
Students from across Region 25, including Denison, Lovejoy, Melissa, Plano, Princeton, Sherman, and Wylie, auditioned in early October by performing prepared musical excerpts and completing sight-reading evaluations before a panel of judges. More than 900 students competed for just 324 available spots.
Allenâs strong showing included representation across all four choirs: 9/10 Honor
Choir, Tenor-Bass Choir, Treble Choir, and Mixed Choir. In addition to the 67 students selected, 18 advanced to the next round of the highly competitive TMEA All-State Choir auditions.
Congratulations to all 67 Allen ISD students for earning All-Region recognition and to the 18 students advancing in the All-State process.
