Allen High School’s band and color guard recently earned finals berths at two marching contests. The achievements marked the program’s first advancements to marching contest finals since 2021.
At the Wylie Marching Contest, AHS placed sixth in preliminary competition and qualified for finals. The students did not participate in the finals round because of Homecoming.
They followed that achievement with an eighth-place overall finish at the Don Hanna Memorial Marching Contest. The program also earned the Class 6A championship and another finals berth.
