Allen ISD students recently participated in the Elementary Regional Science Fair, which featured first through sixth-grade students from across the Region 10 area.
Allen ISD submitted 44 of the 165 total entries in the competition. Of those, 17 projects earned awards ranging from honorable mention to first place across Life, Physical, Earth, and Engineering categories.
Grand Prize awards were presented to the top projects in the first through third grade division, fourth through fifth grade division, and sixth grade division. Nathaniel Farnum, a sixth-grade student from Chandler Elementary, earned first place in Physical Science and the Grand Prize in the sixth-grade division for his project, “Seeing Sound.”
