Welcome to 2nd grade! We are so excited to begin our seveth year at Preston Elementary and we hope that you are too!!! Second grade is an exciting time as we continue to build upon the skills that students have previously learned, as well as learn brand new concepts that will carry on throughout their educational journey. We hope to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child's life! Each child will progress at his/her own pace, acquiring skills as they are developmentally ready. We will celebrate and build upon small successes. Maintaining a positive outlook, strong self-esteem, and communication will remain a priority. You can help us by checking your child's folder or online work daily, looking at the communication calendar, and listening to your child read every night. Please read through our 2nd Grade Handbook to become familiar with our policies and procedures. If questions or concerns arise, please contact your child's teacher.
