March was a standout month for Ereckson Middle School’s Math and Science Team, with top finishes at two major state-level competitions.
On March 8, Colin Wei, Ethan Ye, Derek Lin, and Emma Zhu represented Ereckson at the Texas State MATHCOUNTS Competition, earning first place in the team competition.
Later in the month, the team traveled to San Antonio for the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) Middle School State Championship Meet. Ereckson students earned high rankings in multiple categories:
Number Sense Team – 4th place
Anwesha Kulkarni, Ethan Ye, Ben Dong, Colin WeiCalculator Team – 3rd place
Sai Raaghav Diwakar, Nathan Hsu, Shreyan Chethan, Adhrit KatgeriGeneral Math Team – 2nd place
Colin Wei, Shreyan Chethan, Ethan Ye, Ben DongScience Team – 1st place
Zhongren Chen, Vishnu Reddy, Nathan Hsu, Samhita Yellepeddi
Ereckson also earned 2nd place in the overall sweepstakes, recognizing success across all events.
A special congratulations goes to Zhongren Chen, who placed 1st individually in 8th-grade science.
