The Allen ISD Board of Trustees recently recognized students, fine arts performers, counselors, and community members at their Board meeting held on February 24, 2026. Honorees included top academic competitors, All-State musicians, counseling teams earning statewide distinction, and student leaders supporting a community nonprofit through Love Week.

Allen ISD Spelling Bee Winners Advance to County Competition
The Board recognized five outstanding elementary students who earned top honors at the Allen ISD District Spelling Bee and advanced to the County Bee. The District Spelling Bee was held January 15 at the STEAM Center, where eleven students competed using the Words of Champions list provided by the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Some of the winning words included bequeath, precocious, chassis, and coniferous.

The Board congratulated these exceptional spellers on advancing to the County Bee held February 5 in Plano and representing their campuses with excellence.
Allen ISD Students Earn 2026 TMEA All-State Honors
The Board recognized thirteen Allen ISD students who were selected to perform in the 2026 Texas Music Educators Association All-State music ensembles, the highest honor a Texas music student can achieve through the TMEA audition process. Students advanced through a rigorous audition process, with band and choir auditions concluding in January and orchestra auditions concluding in November.
These students participated in the annual TMEA All-State Convention in San Antonio, where they rehearsed with nationally recognized conductors and performed alongside the most accomplished high school musicians from across Texas.

Six Campuses Earn CREST Awards for Counseling Excellence
The Board recognized counselors from six Allen ISD campuses who received the Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas Award, also known as CREST, for the 2024–2025 school year. The CREST Award recognizes outstanding counseling programs that support student achievement and well-being.

Allen ISD Celebrates Love Week in Support of The Samaritan Inn
The Board recognized Allen ISD students, families, and community members for their participation in Love Week, an annual district tradition led by the Love Week Student Committee. Each year, the committee organizes events to support a nonprofit organization, encouraging service and community engagement across Allen ISD.
This year’s Love Week efforts benefited The Samaritan Inn, a nonprofit comprehensive housing program that supports individuals in realizing dignity and gaining independence. Students from the Love Week Student Committee shared highlights from this year’s experience and the impact of the community’s generosity.
