Allen ISD campuses and offices will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Kids Club will also be canceled.
Main roadways in Allen currently appear to be improving; however, neighborhood streets, sidewalks, and campus parking lots remain icy and slick in several areas. While temperatures have risen above freezing today, local emergency personnel are concerned about roads and walkways refreezing overnight. Another area of concern is the ability for school buses to travel neighborhood roads early in the morning before any thaw occurs. With this information in mind, the District will continue to prioritize the safety of our students, families, and staff, including our student drivers and students who walk to and from school.
